Lights of Old Santa Fe 1944- Roy Rogers
Rival rodeos are operated by good guy Gabby and bad guy Richard Powers. Dale is trying to choose between them, aided ultimately by Roy and the Sons of the Pioneers (who are radio singers).

Nevada City 1941- Roy Rogers
Amos Norton is out to get control of transportation to the gold fields. First he has Black Bart wreck Liddell's stagecoaches making it look like the work of railroad owner Benton. Then he has Black Bart go after the railroad. Jeff figures out who Black Bart is and he and Gabby try to break the next raid. But Benton's men capture them and thinking they are part of the gang, put them in jail.

Fleeing the law, Wolf Benson hops on a train, throws Autry off, and assumes Autry's identity. Still posing as Autry he robs and kills Autry's friend Lee. When Autry is jailed, his friends Frog and the Professor break him out and the three head out to clear him of the murder charge.

The Governor sends Roy to help bring in a gang of saboteurs. Roy joins a traveling show and soon learns the saboteurs communicate during Maurice's mind reading act that uses a hidden receiver. But Maurice is on to Roy. Roy narrowly escapes when Maurice leaves him tied up in a warehouse they are blowing up. But Maurice then kills a man and blames Roy who now finds himself in jail.
