South of Santa Fe 1942- Roy Rogers To get the three needed business men to visit the Stevens mine, Roy stages a ride with the Vacaros and has them as honored guests. Seeing a chance to make a lot of money, gangster Harmon joins the ride and then has his men kidnap the three. Having filmed a fake holdup earlier, he uses the film to convince the Sheriff that Roy and the boys were the Kidnapers.

Barker expects his man Squint to win the prize money but when Tex starts winning all the events, they put the poisoned needle in his halter rope, planning to have him mysteriously die just as the others did.

The Fargo Kid 1940 - Tim Holt In this light comedy, the Fargo Kid rides into town on an outlaw's horse and when mistaken for him, is hired to kill a man. There is a reward for the outlaw and the Kid's pal Whoppper not realizing what has happened, alerts the Sheriff in hope of earning the reward. Thinking himself a good judge of character he even enlists the outlaw's help in the capture.
