Days of Jesse James  1939 - Roy Rogers
Roy Rogers has been sent to bring in Jesse James, a lawless outlaw. After Wyatt's bank is robbed and Jesse is blamed, Roy is able to work himself into Jesse's gang. Learning that Jesse does not have the banks money, Roy suspects that Wyatt robbed his own bank for the insurance money while posing as Jesse. Roy now sets a trap for Wyatt that he hopes will recover the money.
Billy the Kid Returns  1938 - Roy Rogers
After Pat Garrett kills Billy the Kid, Roy Rogers arrives and is mistaken for him. Although a murderer, Billy was on the side of the homesteaders. As Billy's death is unknown, Roy gets Pat Garrett to let him pose as Billy to continue the fight, but without all of the violence.

Deadwood is controlled by Ripper's gang that has rendered the Sheriff and the Judge powerless. When Gabby's medicine show featuring Roy arrives they are quickly run out. They join the Laramie Gap gang that is fighting Ripper and when Gabby's inheritance money is stolen they rob the stage to get it back, Getting the money and the names assigned to it, Roy hopes this evidence will enable the Judge to bring law and order to Deadwood

Tex Randall (Tex Ritter) gets arrested for murder and horse rustling but it's all a case of mistaken identity.
The town's big-shot gets him off the hook and offer a horse-trading deal to Tex with the intention of double crossing him just like he did the Tombstone Kid (Archie Ricks).
